I am a political theorist and philosopher working at the intersection of critical theory, political economy, and legal-political philosophy, with a focus on racialization debates in Latin America. My research draws on the Frankfurt School — particularly Herbert Marcuse and Walter Benjamin — together with decolonial and continental theory, to rethink political subjectivity, the state, and emancipation in the Global South. Beyond academia, I have worked as a legislative advisor to the Colombian Senate and monitored the implementation of Colombia's Peace Agreement, particularly its Comprehensive Rural Reform. I combine this research and policy experience with academic leadership in higher education, having led curriculum design, accreditation processes, and teacher-training programs at Universidad Libre de Colombia.
